The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian takes players throughout Narnia and includes a level, which is unique from both the novel and the film. The level, which is set between the events of "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" and Prince Caspian, takes place at the castle of Cair Paravel and tells the story of how Narnia fell to the Telmarine hordes. In Prince Caspian, Cair Paravel is seen only as abandoned ruins the Pevensies discover hundreds of years later. The action/adventure game offers gameplay for one or two players on the same system and drop-in/drop-out features, allowing either player to join the game and leave. With combat, exploration and puzzle solving that extends beyond the film, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is the ideal complement to the movie-going experience. The game features more than 20 playable characters including the ability to play as Prince Caspian. [Disney Interactive]

As movie tie-in games go, this is actually rather good. It flows well, is visually impressive and maintains sufficient pace and excitement to keep the young player tuned in for many hours.

The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian is a great looking title which should thrill younger gamers no end, particularly if they're fans of the film.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is one of the few licensed games that I am not ashamed to recommend, especially to fans of the series.

The swordplay is simple, and dreadfully dull. [July 2008, p.86]

IGN
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian would be a good game to let any young fan of the movie try his or her hand at, but it's too simplistic for most core gamers to find enjoyable.

Far from being a complete disaster, Prince Caspian for the PS3 has some good moments but they are overshadowed by repetitive gameplay and a poor presentation.

Maybe kids will get some enjoyment out of it, but anyone over 12-14 years old should probably just skip it. We all know movie tie-ins are generally rushed and second-rate, but from my experience, this one takes the cake!

A slightly above average romp on home consoles that won't be too challenging for the age group of 13 and above.

Prince Caspian combines simplistic gameplay with a confusing narrative for an action adventure that unfortunately isn't as good as the movie on which it's based.

Ultimately, this game is really more of an interactive movie - the combat offers next to no challenge and there is very little replay value.

Gamer 2.0
Prince Caspian is sure fun for any fan or gamer under the age of 13 as it requires no central thinking to complete, but older gamers will find this game’s bland combat too dull to even consider a try.

Prince Caspian is clearly aimed at the younger players, but even those demand a better game nowadays.

There are just too many exasperating issues with controls and lighting that keep me from recommending it.
